(More customer reviews)I've used these panniers for 3 years and many miles of touring. They are very durable. Absolutely no problems with the zippers or latches. The saddle concept alleviates any attachment concerns and makes them very simple to install and remove. Being all heavy fabric, they function sort of like a stuff sack. You can get a lot in them. For the money, they can't be beat if you don't have to have waterproof and don't need the space of larger individual panniers. These are about 1600 cu in and I've managed fine by using a stuff sack or two on the rack top for my sleeping pad and bag and extra clothes for winter touring. I also use a couple of matching but smaller bags on the front.
The only con is the buggie cord hooks designed to attach to the bottom of the rack. They're flimsy, or were 3 years ago, and didn't last long. No matter as you don't need them anyway. Just cut them off when you get the bags and save yourself the trouble.
