(More customer reviews)This is my second Topeak MTX Trunk Bag DX. I got the first one about five years ago and have used it for my daily commutes to and from work. I provided a review about five years ago, but cannot locate it on Amazon, so I'll try to remember to point out all the good things and some constructive criticism.
This is a great bag that can carry virtually everything I need for my daily commute, with the exception of my shoes. If it were about two or three or four inches longer, I could easily fit a pair of shoes (it's wide enough and tall enough, but not quite long enough). I can carry everything else I need for when I get to work: slacks, belt, shirt, undergarments, necktie, socks, and all of my other stuff (wallet, watch, keys, etc.).
My five year old Topeak bag is actually still in service, but the zipper that closes the bag is slowly "giving up the ghost". This is not a complaint because it has seen five years of heavy service, including not less than four zips per day (closing it before leaving home, opening and closing at work, then opening again at home).
It also has a nice spot on the rear of the bag to put a tail light, which is essential for commuting.
I would highly recommend this bag, but I think that Topeak might have either phased it out or changed its design, so I hope its successor is as good as this one.
