(More customer reviews)As I got older I found it more and more difficult to bench-press my kayak up to my J style carriers. With this carrier system I can lift one end onto the rear roller and then lift and push the back end of the kayak until it is on the roof. I mounted the unit on a trailblazer with rectangular shaped cross bars. It was easy to position the unit so that the rear rollers slid far enaugh to the back to prevent scratching the vehicle when loading and then the unit slid forward to a perfect carrying position. Loading is easy, transporting is safe and quiet with less drag on the vehicle than with the J bars. This unit doesn't create very much noise when empty and sits low enaugh on the roof to allow entry to most parking garages. Overall, I concider this a great unit and wished that I had purchased one years ago/
