(More customer reviews)Do NOT waste your time or money on this product. I attempted to put this on my trek mountain bike - not good.
#1: I felt that I needed to bend the rack mercilessly just to mount onto the rear rails of the bike. The significant torque on the relatively cheap supplied hardware did not give me a great deal of confidence. After fully assembled I gave it a spin sans child...
#2: The foot rest of the child seat is such that your feet will scrape it on every rotation of the pedals - I adjusted and re-adjusted and there is no way to squeeze the extra 1/8" out of it to get full clearance. In addition, the mount scrapes the inside of your legs by a similar 1/8" or so on each rotation. Needless to say I unhooked it as gracefully as possible (which you are supposed to do whenever you transport it on a bike rack and would easily take 10-15 mins to reassemble as there is minimal clearance unless you happen to have a set of miniscule tools so all adjustments are tedious). Even if it didn't scrape along my legs and feet, I don't think I'd feel comfortable putting a child in there.
Bottom line, if you are malnourished and sport extremely small feet, this might be a good choice for you. If you're a normal-sized human, pass.
