(More customer reviews)I absolutely love this bike. I weigh 250 pounds and was worried this bike might not be sturdy enough for me. Nevertheless.. it's a very durable bike with quality parts. The only thing I plan on upgrading, are the pedals.. (smaller and mostly plastic) and inner tubes.. (Got a flat the second time I rode it) This bicycle turns heads, and looks just like it rolled out of 1955. The Schwinn Legacy has made me an avid bike rider again just like I was 25 years ago.
The packaging however, left something to be desired. You could actually see into the box when I got it, and the UPS man asked if I'd like to refuse the bike because it was packaged so poorly. I opted not to return it, as this was the second bike I had ordered (The first was damaged before it got to me and was sent back to the seller).
Upon inspection, the forks, and frame were scratched in several places, and the very top bar of frame was dented. This is the bike of my dreams, and is a steal at 119.00.. but be aware you're most likely going to get a bike that's full of dings and or scratches if you order it by mail. If you can do it, buy it from the store already assembled. I was going to do this, but this model/color no longer seems to be available in retail stores anywhere.
