(More customer reviews)Purchased the Sunlite rear panniers in 2007 (mine are gray/black). Used them to tour the east coast (5 weeks), plus for several other smaller tours (less than one week each). These panniers are spacious, completely water proof and stay put nicely with rail adjust clip system and a single lower twist clamp (at least this is how the 2007 model was configured). The bag material remains essentially like new. the upper clamps continue to work well, but the hardware holding the clamps and the twist had to be tightened several times. The mechanism to keep the lower twists are becoming too loose for adjustment (wearing out) - not sure if I would trust the hardware to stay in tact for another long journey. For those that like easy access pockets and compartments, these are not for you - they are essentially big waterproof bags (which has worked just fine for me since I organize internally with stuff sacks and know how to get to my stuff quickly). Will still use for short trips. You can't find a waterproof pannier for this price anywhere else. The only reason I did not rate the Sunlites higher is because the bags will far outlast the attachment hardware, else these panniers could be trusted for many more years of use.
