(More customer reviews)I haven't had any problems with these. They could use a slightly more secure attachment system. It just has hooks on top with an elastic cord (with a metal ring) on the bottom. So it's only the tension on the cord that hold them in place when empty.
I like that they fold up flat when not in use (on or off the bike). I bring them into the store and hang them inside the cart. That way I can make sure I'm not buying too much and I can arrange fragile items to avoid damage.
The little reflective flags seem like an afterthought by the manufacturer. With a little more thought they could have been made more useful as a simple closure aid or something. I can't seem to find a real use for them other than reflectors that flap in the wind.
It would be nice to have a snap at the center of the handles to hold them together when the bag is open. That may also help keep something from bouncing or blowing out.
I have not used other panniers specifically designed for grocery shopping, so I don't have much to compare them too. These are effective for what they are intended for - but they could be better with a little more thought put into the design.
