(More customer reviews)The instructions for the rack were useless, in the end I don't think the rack fit my Jamis hybrid anyway. The top and bottom parts of the seat did not fit together because a part of the plastic where the seat connects seemed to be made poorly. The box I received the chair in looked like it had been returned several times. It was very beat up, taped up, and looked old.

Bell Classic Child Carrier Review

(More customer reviews)This carrier is impossible to put together AND have it fit on your bike at the same time. The supports are aligned by holes in the seat, so there isn't much room for adjustments. The bottom of the supports are supposed to go around the back fork of the bike, and top of the supports are supposed to use the same screw as the seat post. However, the holes at the top don't line up with each other correctly, and the holes at the bottom aren't much better. We took ours back.

(More customer reviews)This seat was a hit from the moment I took it out of the box. My 20 m.o. loved playing on it. Then, when I put it on the bicycle, she was really thrilled. It has been great fun for us both. I love having her ride up on the bike with me instead of in a trailer on the ground. No trouble with dust or mud flying at her. And she's up high and safer with me in case we come across aggressive-looking dogs, bears, etc. I was worried that the bicycle would ride awkwardly with the additional weight of the seat and child, but it rides great. I can maneuver well on narrow trails. Also, the suspension system works great when we hit the bumps. The assembly instructions were straight forward and fit my no-suspension mtn bike fine. With her bike helmet on I feel she is pretty well protected. Of course, I ride rather conservatively--all in all I think the seat is pretty safe. One safety aspect that I am very concious of is that I keep a good hold on the bike any time the child is in the seat and I'm off the bike. If I'm off the bike, then she comes out of the seat--but that gives her more opportunities to stretch her legs than if she was in a trailer. One other thing--don't wear pants with an elastic waistband or your kid may entertain herself during the ride by depantsing you!

CoPilot Taxi Bicycle Child Seat Review

(More customer reviews)We had one of these of unknown age and it broke when the bike toppled over - to much leverage on the plastic. We liked it enough to replace it, and now we have the "rack" on both Mom and Dad's bikes and one seat. I've used both front-mounted and rear-mounted seats and neither is ideal - it's a little awkward and wobbly one way, versus the other. But biking with the child is still wonderful. This doesn't hold that big a child, our girl is four, petite, about 30 lbs, and her legs are down at the bottom of the "holsters" for her feet. I think this is a good model, the price is good, and it gives you a "rack" you can use with a bungie cord for carrying this or that instead of the child seat. Easy to mount on and off.

I wanted something sturdy for my daughter who is 3. It works well and I know we will get another year out of it at least. It fits great on my old cruiser like bike. The best features are that it's sturdy up to 50lbs, and that it so easily comes off and on the bike. Great when storing,and traveling with the bikes on the bike rack.

The seat is solidly constructed, easy to install and remove from the bike once the rack is set, and sits further back than other seats making the rides more confortable for my little girl. I believe the design/construction will survive multiple kids and the range of adjustability will allow for them to sit comfortably as they age.
I also bought a second rack to add to another bike and can easily change from one bike to the other. Don't want to take Momma's bike? In about a minute, you can transfer the seat from bike to bike and you can ride your own!
