(More customer reviews)When we moved our daughter from a baby seat to a Novara Afterburner we had to remove the rear rack on our Wildwood Tandem. But we still needed to take along some gear on our bike rides. The Topeak TourGuide Handle Bar Bag DX has proven to be more than an adequate solution. The mounting instructions are not too difficult to follow, and there is an ingenious system with a cable that wraps around your handlebars and prevents the bag from sinking down.
This bag has two main compartments, a couple of side compartments, a rain cover, and a clear plastic holder for a ride map. All and all it is a very useful piece of equipment and I highly recommend it.

Tubus Cosmo Rack Review

(More customer reviews)Tubus makes quality products all accross the board. I was on a longish bike tour last year, and the no-name rear rack I had was very flimsy and shifted around under load. I purchased this rack on the road. Although it is expensive, it is of top notch quality, and the load was as solid as the Rock of Gibraltar.
I have Ortlieb Bike Packer Plus panniers and they fit like gloves on this rack.
One note of caution, is that mine did not come with a rear flasher - as I see displayed on the picture here on Amazon.

Tubus Cargo Rear Rack Review

(More customer reviews)I have had a number of cheap racks in my life and had an aluminum Planet Bike Planet Bike Eco Rack Oversized 6061 T6 Aluminum Bike Rack with Pre-installed Hardware rack that looked pretty tough before this one, and this is far better. It seemed a little extravagant to me to spend over a hundred bucks on a rack, but this thing is so solid it is like it is part of your bike instead of an accessory. I've had it a year and I have used it everyday about 10-20 miles with varying weight loads, for a total of about 5000 miles, and it is pretty much as good as new. The paint does wear away where the panniers rub against it, but this is easy to touch up. I have bought my share of bike stuff which I haven't used much and now seems like a waste of money, but this I use everyday and I don't know how I lived without it.
