(More customer reviews)These are great bags. Light, roomy, and the main compartments are completely waterproof. The zippered pocket on the outside of the storm flap are handy for thin cell phones and id cards, however, put them in a sandwich bag to ensure they stay dry. I've used these bags for several weeks now, including in very heavy rain here in Portland, OR.
My main issue was Amazon's advertising here. They title this product as afront/rear "set". The problem is that this is not as "set" of bags. Rather, it is a single bag. I've never seen a single item sold as a "set". Yet, the Amazon representatives insisted that a "set" is really one item. When you look at the Axiom Typhoon "Pannier set" under product description it says two bags are included. Under product description for the Axion Monsoon it doesn't say one or two. I don't think it was unreasonable that a customer would think that a "set" would equal more than one item.
Additionally, the bag pictured with this ad is not the right item. The bag pictured is the Typhoon bag, the biggest bag Axion produces.
Oh, and be prepared to receive a bag that doesn't come with the extra replacement hardware and then have the Amazon rep suggest you go to a local hardware store to purchase a replacement hook and block that the product description specified as coming with the "set", er, one bag.
Oh, and be prepared for one Amazon rep to agree with you that a set means more than one, then says she will send you a new "set" which will have two bags (cuz according to her the product only ships with two bags) and you'll have to return the one you did receive, and then actually receive only one bag, again.
