(More customer reviews)Be prepared with your hot-melt glue gun and other tools to repair this product when you receive it. It arrives with absolutely no packaging around the product, banging around in the factory sealed box with nuts, bolts and brackets just loose inside the trunk. As they bang around between China and your door they'll knock the hot-melt glue held wiring loose and you'll likely find the printed circuit boards with the LED lights just flopping in the case. After you repair everything it's up to you to figure out how to mount the trunk and to wire it. Good news--I've prepared wiring instructions for you: black wire=the negative or ground; red wire=brake lights (or running lights if you prefer that use); orange wire=right turn signal; blue wire=left turn signal; brown wire=blinking running lights (but only 2 of the 5 LEDs are involved in blinking).
Externally, the product looks quite nice and is shiny black. The picture doesn't show but the top of the case has a paper sticker--don't pull it off; it covers two holes of undetermined use. The lock is really quite nice and works well. There actually is a molded backrest on the top lid made of something that resembles rubber. I bought this product because of the size and appearance and am happy with that. Even if you don't hook up the lights or if they arrive broken beyond repair you'll still have a nice looking trunk of modest size. I installed it on a new Yamaha Star 250 and it doesn't detract from the sharp looks of the bike. It holds a 3/4 helmet with the face shield closed. There is no weather stripping but the top half does overlap a lip on the bottom half so I imagine that contents will stay reasonably dry.
